TVING webtoon based drama Study Group (스터디그룹) officially confirmed to produce Season 2.
South Korean film production house Studio Dragon has finally confirmed that there will be a season 2 of Study Group(스터디그룹). Studio dragon, a well known korean drama production company just confirmed study group season 2 on their website. Study Group is a famous and well known high school theme action+fantasy kdrama. Study Group also has a big fanbase.
The main character of Study Group, Yoon Ga-min, has been shown to possess an incredible action ability in the K-drama. The character Yoon Ga-min is played by famous actor Hwang Min-hyun. Hwang Min-hyun is also well-known as a famous singer from NU’EST and songwriter. He has also been seen in other K-dramas such as Alchemy of Souls and My Lovely Liar, and his recent popular K-drama was Study Group, whose season 2 is on the way.
According to TMDB, the actors and actresses we will be able to see in this K-drama are Hwang Min-hyun, Han Ji-eun, Cha Woo-min, Lee Jong-hyun, Shin Soo-hyun, Yoon Sang-jung, Gong Do-yu, and Hong Ming-gi. The many mysterious things from the previous season that have still kept us in suspense, we will get to see in this season: Who’s Yoon Ga-min’s uncle/his coach? The drama’s release date is still unknown. The OTT streaming platform, and other details are not yet confirmed. As we know, Hwang Min-hyun is currently serving in the military and will be discharged in December 2025. So, filming will begin after that. If Hwang Min Hyun returns to the new season of Study Group, he will be making his comeback after serving in the military.
The director discusses the prospect of ‘Study Group’ season 2: “I thought, ‘Let’s not get ahead of ourselves and avoid creating an ending that feels like it’s setting up for Season 2. I aimed for Season 1 to be a standalone experience. I believe it is never too late to plan for the next step. If a good opportunity occurs for Season 2, we could spend the next year creating the script while Hwang Min hyun finishes his military service.”
